Anita takes 1st female and 9th overall at Western States running 18:24:17!

Congrats to Anita, she ran a great race! She may dominate the ultra world for a while. Now she just has that easy race they call the “speedgoat” in a few weeks. She gets the number one bib this year!

Anita is one of the best female mountain runners ever; she just had to learn the ultra ropes, and now look what happens! Way to go Anita.

Yes buzz, you nailed that one! In her first attempt at 100 winning Western is almost unheard of. Jurek did it too when he won his first. It was an awesome performance from Anita.
